This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we give it to. We’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than the usual fog.
Who we are
Blue Hen Pros is a contractor matching service operating in New Castle County, Delaware. We are not a home improvement contractor and do not perform construction work. We connect homeowners with independent contractors.
What we collect
- What you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, town, and the project details you type into our forms.
- Which page you came from. We record which page of our site your request was submitted from, so we know what’s working.
- Basic analytics. If analytics are enabled, standard web analytics data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referring site). We do not use this to build a profile of you.
Who we share it with, and who we don’t
We share your project details with up to three contractors in our network who service your town, so they can contact you and quote the work. That is the entire purpose of the service and the only routine sharing we do.
We do not sell your information. We don’t sell lead lists, we don’t pass your number to marketing firms, and we don’t resell your details to a fourth, fifth, or tenth contractor.
We may also share information where we are legally required to, and with service providers who help us operate the site (hosting, email, form processing) under obligations to keep it confidential.
How contractors may contact you
When you submit a form, you consent to being contacted by Blue Hen Pros and matched contractors at the phone number and email you provide — including by automated dialing or text. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by telling us or by replying STOP to a text.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, and we’ll tell you.
- Ask us to delete it, and we will — email [email protected].
- Tell us to stop contacting you, and we’ll stop. Note that once a contractor has your details, you may also need to tell them directly.
Cookies
We use only what’s needed to run the site and, if enabled, basic analytics. We don’t run advertising trackers that follow you around the web.
Children
This site is not directed to children and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
